Osman Consulting is a social enterprise based in the UK and operating internationally, providing services across the fields of disaster management, humanitarian action and stabilisation.

We collect, store and process personal and non-personal data in a number of ways.

This privacy policy refers only to the data and information we collect through this website. We collect the information which you voluntarily provide. This policy outlines the key ways which we may use this data but is not necessarily a comprehensive overview.

We collect the information you submit through the website, for example personal data collected through our roster form or our contact form. This might include your first and last name, email address, telephone number, skype, nationality, current location/address, languages spoken, professional background including areas of expertise and years of experience, and any additional information contained in a message, CV or letter of interest. We also receive statistical data and analytics about visitor interaction with the website, in order to improve performance and experience. 

 

3. What do we use your personal data for?

We collect this information for the following reasons:

  1. To allow users to contact us and for us to respond to their queries;

  2. To hold the information of parties that there is a potential to do business with, and to get in contact with them in this regard;

  3. To allow interested parties to submit their details to be considered as part of our roster;

  4. To allow us to maintain records of those on our roster to consider them for work and to get in contact with them regarding opportunities and other matters related to being included in the roster.

 

4. What are the legal grounds for our processing of your personal information (including when we share it with others)?

Performance of a Contract

Some of the Personal Data processed us is done so on the basis that it is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, or in order to take steps at the request of the user prior to entering such an agreement.

Legitimate Interest

A second ground relied upon for other types of processing of your Personal Data is that it is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by Osman Consulting.

 

5. When do we share your personal information with other organisations?

Your personal data collected is maintained and available for all Osman Consulting employees, consultants and interns. We will not share your personal information with external individuals or organisations except if we believe it is necessary for the performance of contract or based on our legitimate interest. In most cases, however, we will get in touch with you prior to sharing your details and ask for your consent.

 

6. Exercising your rights

If you do not want us to process your data anymore, and/or you would like us to erase all personal information we hold for you, please email us at info@osmanconsulting.co.uk. If you would like to update the personal information we hold for you, please get in touch with info@osmanconsulting.co.uk. This is particularly relevant for those who sign up to our roster, although we will get in touch every so often to ask whether the details we hold for you remain up to date.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

This website is run through wix.com. The roster forms are submitted through jotform.com. We will retain the personal information you supply to us indefinitely so long as our holding of it continues to fall under the legal grounds.
