Two members of the OC team have just returned from Gaziantep, Turkey, after delivering training to support the establishment in Gaziantep of the Syrian Women Humanitarian Network (SWHN).
The three day training covered a range of topics such as conducting a needs assessment, data analysis, an introduction to gender issues and the feminist movement, how to design a project and mechanisms of humanitarian funding.
The workshops also covered proposal writing and developing a funding strategy. The sessions were fully interactive, designed to be informative and energising for the attendees.
The attendees comprised around 25 women who were eager to learn more and increase their level of understanding.
